  biographyKatherine Pierce, born Katerina Petrova (Bulgarian: Катерина Петрова) was born to a peasant family in Bulgaria ^{(wiki is wrong, Elena even comments about how Elijah needs to let her go because shes "not that sweet peasant girl you met so long ago" )}She was very close with her mother, but her father was "a judgemental asshole" and quite abusive to both her and her sister when he was drunk. Most of it verbal, however he did throw things, and at one point threw Katerina's favourite toy in the fire because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.Katerina was also born a witch of the Traveler sub-culture, though the arts were forbidden to her by her father. However in 1488 Katerina met another traveler. She spent a lot of time with him and he taught her a lot of things about the magic she possessed and traveler spells. At some point Katerina found herself romantically interested in the man, however intended to wait for marriage as all good girls were expected to. The man did not agree with what she wanted and ultimately decided his wants were more important.The result of his actions caused Katerina to become an unwed mother and a disgrace to her family. After a difficult birth that Katerina almost didn't survive, her daughter was taken from her before she was even able to hold her. Katerina's father sent her into exile where she ultimately ended up in England.It's here that she met the Mikaelsons. Spotted as the doppelganger by Trevor while she was working at a restaurant as a waitress, he was quick to inform the Original family. Elijah came to collect her and seemed reluctant to hand her over to his brother, albeit very subtly. Upon meeting Klaus, Katerina was charmed by him. Klaus kept the Doppelganger in sight under the guise of courting her. However she ended up falling for Elijah, while having very little romantic interest in Klaus. Possibly due to his consistent neglect of her.It is important to note that while it is never stated outright in canon, my particular portrayal of Katherine has her undergoing a lot of Trauma while she was with Klaus as a human. (^{Of all the horrific things hes done canonically this does not at all seem out of character for him, and I stand by it. If you write Klaus and have an issue with this for whatever reason we can talk about it.})He compelled her to forget every single time, which kept her from telling anyone or running away sooner, but those memories did not stay locked away forever.Being the Doppelganger Katerina was a large component to the ritual needed to break Klaus' curse. When she was informed that Klaus intended to kill her, she made an escape. During this escape she was able to trick Rose into feeding her blood and then killed herself in hopes that as a Vampire Klaus would have no need for her, and would let her go. No such luck- instead for her betrayal (of not wanting to die apparently) he killed her entire family and relentlessly has chased her for 500 years, killing anyone and everyone she got close you when he found her. Somewhere in the 1600's Katerina started using the Alias "Katherine Pierce"In 1864 Katherine came to stay with the Salvatore's under the guise of an Orphan who lost her parents in a fire during the war. She was instantly drawn to Stefan Salvatore but ultimately ended up in love with both of the brothers and wholly intended to be with them both, however before she could wisk them away on her romantic forever ride off into the sunset, it was discovered that she was a vampire.Katherine made a deal with a Lockwood, she handed over the moonstone in exchange for her escape. However on the night of her escape both the Salvatore Brother's were shot trying to rescue her from a place she was not in.Choosing to spend precious time she did not have, risking her own escape, Katherine stopped to feed them both her blood and turn them, making a promise to Stefan that they would be together again.

Hello and welcome! This is an independent Highly selective RP blog for Katherine Pierce of TVD!Few quick things to note- This is the TV show based interpretation of Katherine. I try my best to keep my portrayal canon (as in her personality- I can not STAND the writing in the show via story line.) but I also have important headcanons I have put a lot of work into that are important to her history. These Headcanons are based off psycological traits and aspects of Katherine's personality and behaviors. That being said I would like to remind you (or inform you if you don’t know) Katherine Is Chaotic Neutral and there for puts her personal interests above everything else. If it benefits her she probably will do it. That doesn’t mean she wont act out of the better interest for people she loves (she canonically goes against her best interest to help several times) Just don’t expect to be the one that changes her. This is a Stefrine endgame AU, set in S5, where Stefan leans on Katherine to help him through his PTSD from drowning in the lake for an entire summer. It's dangerous at times, and heavy on Katherine and Stefan equally but they have erased the whiteboards in favour of starting over with clean slates. Damon is doing his absolute best to torture Katherine now that shes essentially helpless, and of course Elena is doing very little to stop that. The theme is the Red String of Fate pulling Stefan and Katherine together, finally as it should have always been.}
